If she were a medieval woman, I could understand that. So, if you are a medieval Scottish clansman, living in the 20th century, what are you going to do to earn money? It was such and endearing story. I her descriptions were spot on, and made you feel like you were actually standing in the Highlands of Scotland.
I do love reading about history which is embedded into a great fictional story. I have another one here to read, When I Fall in Love and have no idea which book it is.
It was not a predictable romance. But most of all it has a love story that will pull you in and have you laughing, hoping and rooting for that love we all find so magical. Read and see what happens next.

I did so love Robert the Piper and all the other “other-worldly” characters. Why, be a personal body guard, of course!

I loved the heroine, Madeleine, and her brassy personality, and Patrick MacLeod couldn’t be more chivalrous! I just think the De Piaget men are just more romantic OH I think this is my favorite one Mar 06, Brooke rated it liked it Shelves: Mar 14, Rhonda Soukup rated it it was amazing. I loved the ghost element It kept me reading and it made me want to go and read the other books in the series, especially the ones about Jamie and Ian.
Fortunately for Madelyn, she has a knight in shining armor. I’m always on the search for good time travel romance books and I’m so glad I’ve found Lynn Kurland’s books.
The reader is also expected to accept that Madelyn is such a helpless sheep that she cannot secure her own belongings in a hotel room, control her own credit card, or even keep up with her passport. He is determined to craft a life for himself and watching him grow as he comes to know, trust, and eventually love Madelyn is one of the strong points of this novel. Kurland has earned her large following for very good reason.
Until she sees a man standing kurlnad a windswept moor, a Highlander full of secrets and longing, and Madelyn knows she has seen her destiny. This is one of my favorite from Kurland.
